Square Catch Basin Kit with galvanized steel grate is an easy home improvement project to install and captures heavy flows from driveways, parking lots and landscaped areas. The 12 in. Square Catch Basin Drain Kit has all the components you need to connect to drain pipe: a 12 in. catch basin with 2 openings, 2 outlet adapters which connect to 3 in. and 4 in. drain pipes, a galvanized steel grate and 1 plug. As part of a complete drainage system, the catch basin directs water to connected drain pipes which carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench. The catch basin is made of polypropylene and the drain grate, also known as a drain cover, is made of galvanized steel.
